(04-05-2013) I would agree with the other guys. In fairness a lap is about 50 seconds to 1.10. If the person in front of you is slow then you have to stop on the track. I did the R8 V10, 911 Turbo and the Gallardo. Each drive as said above takes about 3 minutes and then around a 30 minutes wait between. The track is the smallest I have been on and the maximum speed you could get to was about 80 for maybe 1-2 seconds. Pleas spend your money on either Mercedes world. Off peak its £139 quid to drive one of the big AMG's. You get a drag run and a high speed brake test. Handling practice and a skid pan and its for a whole hour. Failing that 6thgearexperiances and everyman have a great selection of cars and if you sign up for the email alerts you can get some real deals. |

Dannyboy218 above, has it spot on. It's a complete waste of money, the track is a piece of tarmac with cones and tyres, .... The "lap" of the "track" takes 20seconds, it's about 400m and you get no chance to drive these cars, as you are only allowed 3 laps anyway. Overall for the "9 lap experience" you actually spend about 3 minutes driving, yet you are there waiting from 9-12.30. |

It was a disappointment when we arrived to see the size of the track, I would describe it a a right angled triangle with two very short straights connected by one short straight. The cars were too powerful for such a short course and after two seconds of putting your foot down you'll have to hit the middle pedal in order to slow down for the corner. The organiser was a good lad but other than that, the 'instructors' (the person in the passenger seat next to you) was less than useful and very nervous about you going "too fast" and constantly wanted you to brake all the time, which defeats the purpose of driving these cars. The course is so short that the organiser would continuously be on the walkie talkie telling you to brake and come to a complete stop!! (this happened when I was driving the M3 and the AMG) because you were catching the car in front and getting too close (always the R8 as there is not enough length for it to put the power down). Having done this through Groupon I thought I was getting a good deal, as it turns out I was had over as I feared I would be. The only experience I really felt I got was an idea of how the dashboard looked in each car. I would not recommend this cowboy setup, with its cold porter-cabin and poor value for money but rather I would recommend paying a more for the experiences at Chobham Race Track (aka Longcross) with the 6thGear supercar providers or the AMG experience at Mercedes Benz World in Brooklands, Weybridge (both of which I have thoroughly enjoyed) as a truely enjoyable day out behind the wheel. This is extremely pricey for the amount of time you get behind the wheel, don't waste your hard earned £90 here!! |

(06-08-2012) This is a great day out for everybody. Cars are sleek and fast, nice selection and tracks. Would recommend! |
