A hair-raising 90% saving off six men’s IPL hair removal sessions

For a small place like this, I wasn't expecting much but was surprisingly impressed. Booked my appointments online, got text reminders before each session and the treatments worked really well. Even though its in a gym, it seems like quite a professional place.

Having finished my first three treatments at Dermo-Men I figured I'll come give my two cents (or pence over here :p)

The clinic is situated inside a gym close to Russel Square - only annoying thing about that is having to sign in as a guest to the gym every time which I find tedious every time but it's also not end of the world considering it's inside a nice venue which makes a difference.

My treatments were done by TJ who is very friendly and professional.  He explains everything very thoroughly  - as do the brochures and website, so peace of mind is assured.  I didn't meet any of the other team members but having corresponded with some of them via email to book sessions they all seem very friendly and professional.  

The treatment itself does not hurt at all - it feels like a rubber band flicking against the skin so even though it doesn't HURT some areas are a litte bit more sensitive than others.  I had my chest, nipples and stomach done and a few spots on my stomach were a bit more sensitive to the sensation but never unbearable pain.  And it's over so quick so definitely nothing to worry about.  

A few days after the 1st session it seemed like the hair was growing out a bit thicker which is mentioned in the brochure.  And a day or two later you can pull the hair out incredibly easily as the hair follicle dies.  Eventually they fall out on their own accord. 

After the treatments the areas were a bit red and felt a little sunburnt but some aloe vera gel sorts that out apparently - my skin isn't that sensitive so I managed fine without having to tamper with it.  

I can definitely see a reduction in the hair growth after 3 sessions.  I think a few more sessions will greatly benefit somebody who is really hairy - I'm not incredibly hairy so I think 1 or 2 more sessions should keep me fairly smooth.  

All in all it's a great service with a team who certainly know what they're doing and apart from it being quite pricey as these kind of treatments tend to be they have certainly bagged a customer for life - having some more intimate areas done so no need to be shy, the guys are all very professional.  

My next session is on Saturday so it's pants off and hair off!  :)

The place was easy to find and luckily not in the congestion charging zone. They work out of a small room and as I waited, it didn't strike me as a typical place where these treatments happen. Fortunately the guy knew exactly what he was doing and was very upfront and honest. I liked that it didn't have that salon feel to it too.

Good place. They're not a massive clinic and its really discreet. It also felt as if they're really trying to help. Also picked up shower gel and other bits and pieces pretty cheap too so its convenient as well. They said they might be moving but said its going to remain in London. Really liked that they're open pretty late in the evenings and on weekends too, so I didn't need to take time off and just went after work.

Arrived to have treatment on my back, filled out paperwork and everything was explained to me clearly. Professional and worry free, I would recommend.

This place is great - sorted me out so I look good on the beach and at the gym. Thanks a lot guys.
